FAQ

Thanks for your interest in my copywriting services.

If we were sitting face to face in your office, you’d be asking questions. And let me answer some of them for you right here.

“What are your qualifications as a copywriter?”

I have a B. A. Degree in English from the University of Mississippi. As a freelancer, I’ve written copy for businesses, non-profits, universities and government agencies. In other words, people just like you.

Before becoming a freelancer I was a trainer and consultant for the State of Texas, a history teacher, and an outreach and marketing specialist for several non-profit organizations.

I’ve written copy about government programs, academic programs, special events, medical topics, program reviews, publishing, marketing and public relations for non-profits, fundraising, creative writing, employee training and relations, and grant funding.

Writing business copy isn’t something that I do to pass the time, it’s my bread and butter. So I put all of my skill, knack and know-how into every piece of business copy that I write.

So after writing hundreds of articles, blog posts, press releases, technical reports, speech copy, brochures and newsletters for people like you, I’ve learned how to sell to managers, entrepreneurs, purchasing agents, professionals, and and other business and technical buyers.

“How much does it cost to hire you for a project?”

For any copywriting assignment—a sales letter, newsletter, article or case study—just let me know what you have in mind and I will quote you a price. Every project is unique.

“Do you provide graphic design in addition to copy?”

No, I am a freelance copy writer. My specialty is providing copy that sells. Period. I provide little to no value by providing any other function. Writing powerful copy is the service that I provide to my clients.

If you need graphic design, I can refer you to graphic artists I regularly recommend to my clients.

How will you get my copy to me?

Your copy will arrive in MS Word format. If you would prefer to get a hard copy, please let me know and I will be glad to get it to you.

“How long will it take you to write my copy?”

Ideally, I like to have 2-3 weeks to work on your copy if you’re looking for smaller items like press releases or blog posts. Longer projects like OSHA reports or e books will take a little longer.  That gives me the time to polish, edit and revise until I’m happy with the finished product.

“Do you provide rush orders?”

Yes, if the rush is requested at the time the order for the copy is placed. A rush order will incur an additional 30% fee.

“What happens if we need you to revise the copy?”

Two revisions are included in the price of your project, provided that they are requested within 30 days of receiving your copy. Just tell me what you would like to improve about the copy, and I will change it for you—fast. Revisions are also included provided that they are not based on a change in the assignment after the copy has been received.

So…why not try my services for your next brochure, feature article, newsletter, or direct mail campaign? I promise you’ll be pleased with the results.
